What the New Law Does
Once signed into law, the BABES Act requires the Transportation Security Administration to implement clearer and more compassionate practices. These improvements include:
Updated guidelines for screening human milk, formula, and feeding supplies that are informed by maternal and infant health experts.
Consistent training for TSA officers so that all parents receive respectful and knowledgeable support.
