Andrea Arreola, from Mothers’ Milk Bank, explained that more and more mothers want to donate milk due to the lack of baby formula. According to Arreola, the donors are tested and subjected to various protocols to guarantee the safety of the food. “We receive the milk, test it and pasteurize it. We then ship it out to hospitals and outpatients,” said Arreola, adding that families can contact any of its 31 banks nationwide to request this liquid.
